Joe Cox, a dedicated Moraine resident, has spent the past 20 years volunteering for organizations around the Dayton area. He is a leader among volunteers at Camp Pathways, a camp for children ages 7-17 who have suffered the loss of a loved one, and the Director of Pirate Packs, a non-profit group that feeds at-risk children within the school district. He has spent countless additional hours coaching basketball, sometimes as many at 8 teams at once due to lack of volunteer coaches, and giving to the schools through his time and talent. He has helped with many different projects including building a pirate ship for one school, repairing games for the kids to enjoy again and always being ready to lend a helping hand wherever it may be needed.
Joe is also a Martial Arts instructor. He, his sons and others in their Martial Arts groups have put on demonstrations around Moraine and have helped with various service projects around the community.
On top of everything he is involved in throughout the city, Joe is also an excellent neighbor. He is thoughtful and kind to the people living around him, offering support to those who may need it. Whether it be cutting the grass, sharing meals, or just simply sharing a conversation, Joe is a very compassionate and caring neighbor. He truly cares about the City and the people within it.
