A Memorial Blood Drive will be held on Saturday, March 24 from 8am to 12pm at the Community Blood Center located in Downtown Dayton, 349 S. Main Street. Mayor Rosencrans was a regular blood donor and it seems only fitting to have a Memorial Blood Drive on his birthday. The Community Blood Center is the sole supplier of blood to hospitals in our area. Without our help, the Blood Center could not obtain the 350 units of blood needed daily to supply 24 hospitals in the 15 counties it serves. Think about it…one in five of us, at some time in our life, will need a blood transfusion. That could mean a family member, a fellow worker…or even yourself. If you are a regular blood donor, your blood can be donated at anytime under Bob Rosencrans’ name. Call 800-388-GIVE (4483), or by website givingblood.org to schedule an appointment.
