***** Day camps for 2020 are canceled however, we offer Camp to Go boxes weekly during July. *****
Weekly camps are located at the Payne Recreation Center.
The goal of the Moraine Parks and Recreation Summer Camp program is to foster a positive environment where children of all ages can participate in quality, safe, recreational summer activities. Please send sunscreen and water bottle EACH DAY. Campers will be outside a majority of the day (weather permitting). Please have your child dress appropriately for weather and scheduled activity.
Parent Resource Guide:
On the first day of camp you will receive a Parent Manual that provides all the details needed for camp. This manual includes daily schedules, rules and procedures.
Camper Drop Off and Pick Up:
Attendance will be taken daily and campers will not be free to leave the site during camp hours. We ask cooperation in stressing this policy to your child. Campers registered need to be signed in and out daily. On the Enrollment packet is a section to list names of three people who may pick up your child; these people will be asked to present identification at the time of pick-up. If someone is not on this list and we have not received a written note prior to this time, we will not release your child.
All travel schedules are tentative. As we approach the scheduled trip date we may need to change location or date due to inclement weather or other difficulties.
Trip dates and locations are listed on the weekly calendar. It is mandatory for your camper to wear his/her camp T-shirt on field trip days. A sack lunch in a paper bag and drink should be brought from home on these days (unless noted on weekly newsletter).
Registration must be done in person at the Payne Recreation Center.
Registration begins April 15 at 9:00am, City of Moraine residents must show proper ID and proof of residency to receive resident rate.
Camp Program Fees
• Moraine Residents $60 per week/per child
• Non-Moraine Residents $120 per week/per child
Second Child Discount
A fee reduction of $10 per week for the second enrolled child is available. If utilizing this discount, all children must be members of the same household.
We accept cash, check, VISA or MasterCard.
*Camp payment is due at least 7 days prior to the first day of camp. Failure to pay will result in their space being released*
Emergency Medical Form
When registering you will need to complete an emergency medical form. This form helps our staff become familiar with your child and medical/ emergency contact information. Children may not attend camp without this form on file.
Registration fees paid per week of camp will not be refunded. Camp fees will be refunded if a parent requests a refund by the 1st day of the camp week that your child is scheduled to attend; no fee refunds will be granted after that point. All refunds are processed through the finance department. Refund checks will be mailed. Credit card fees will be refunded to your credit card (check your statement to be sure). Refunds normally take 3 to 6 weeks to process. If your child is dismissed from the camp at any point you cannot receive a refund for weeks they were present.
