Moraine Parks and Recreation: Winter Youth Basketball

Our Winter Youth Basketball League is open! This program focuses on building real fundamentals and developing confidence on and off the floor. Players will learn how to handle the ball, move as a team, communicate, and compete with respect for the game.

Practices begin the week of December 15 at the Payne Rec Center with one to two practices each week.

Registration is now open for our upcoming basketball clinic with Coach Townsley! Coach Townsley is a professional shooting instructor who works with the Indiana Pacers and has over 30 years of experience training players from youth beginners to professionals.
His instruction focuses on building strong fundamentals and understanding the game the right way.

This free clinic is for ages 7 to 12 and will take place at the Payne Recreation Center.

Ages 7 to 9 clinic begins at 9:00 AM

Ages 10 to 12 clinic begins at 10:30 AM

Players will work on ball handling, shooting form, offensive concepts, and game drills in a positive and challenging environment.
