Notice to Bidders:
The City of Moraine uses secure internet bidding via Info Tech’s Bid Express Service. Electronic bid submission is the preferred form of bidding capital projects solicited by the Engineering Department.

It is pertinent all vendors register, setup to bid electronically, and navigate the service in advance to upcoming solicitation deadlines. All vendors who intend to submit their bids electronically will be required to install the Info Tech Express Sign Tool and generate an Info Tech Digital ID for their business’ authorized signer.

2024 Fire House 30 Parking Lot Rehabilitation – The City of Moraine will receive sealed bid proposals via the Bid Express website (www.bidexpress.com) for the 2024 Fire House 30 Parking Lot Rehabilitation until March 29, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. local time at which time and place they will be publicly opened. Paper bid submissions will NOT be permitted.

2024 Kettering Blvd & S Dixie Dr Curb Ramp Improvements – Bid has been withdrawn and will be re-bid at a later date

BZA 2024-02 – The Moraine Board of Zoning Appeals will be holding a meeting on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at the Moraine Municipal Building, 4200 Dryden Road, Moraine, OH 45439. The agenda for BZA 2024-02 is an appeal request submitted by Joshua Potter for the premises located at 3955 Infirmary Rd. City Lot No. 4846.

The appellant requests an appeal to Moraine Codified Ordinances (MCO) sections:

1. MCO 1181.04 (b) An accessory building may be erected detached from the principal building. No detached accessory building shall be erected in any required yard except a rear yard.

Appellant requests to add a 30 (W) x 60 (L) x 12 (H) (1800 sq/ft) Pole Barn in the front yard of the 2.28 acre property that is zoned R-2. The Pole Barn is proposed to be located in the south portion of the front yard with trees to surround 3 sides of the Pole Barn with the driveway portion to the north be open. This location was proposed by the applicant due to the extreme sloping of the rear yard. The rear (west end) of the pole barn will align with the front of the single-family structure. A minimal amount of trees will be removed for the placement of the Pole Barn.

BZA 2024-01 – The Moraine Board of Zoning will be holding a meeting to hear an appeal request (Case No. 2024-01) submitted by Douglas Olson for the premises located at 5186 Shank Rd. City Lot No. 4239

The appellant requests an appeal to Moraine Codified Ordinances (MCO) sections:

1. MCO 1181.01 (b) (7): No detached accessory building shall be erected in any required yard except a rear yard.
2. MCO 1181.01 (b) (8): Notwithstanding any other provision of this Section 1181.01(b) to the contrary no accessory building or, in the aggregate, accessory buildings, that meet all of the other provisions of this section, shall be larger than 2,400 square feet on any one residential lot.

Appellant requests to add a 36 x 64 (2304 sq/ft) Cleary Pole Barn on a 28 acre Agricultural Lot. The front of the pole barn will be parallel with the front of the home, therefore a side yard location is identified. The pole barn would be built for agricultural purposes and is located in the A-1 Zoning District, therefore, a building permit is not required. Mr. Olson currently has a 1060 sq/ft barn in the rear of his residence along with a 280 sq/ft utility shed.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the Moraine Municipal Building, 4200 Dryden Road, Moraine, Ohio 45439.
