🌟 June Member Spotlight: Willie “Clem” Clemons Jr. 🌟
Meet Willie Clemons Jr., otherwise known as “Clem,” one of our amazing fitness members who is 98 years young!
Clem is a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17. He later reenlisted when the United States entered the Korean War, once again answering the call to serve our country. After his military service, Clem moved to Dayton, Ohio, where he raised his family and worked as a defense supply contractor.
Clem became a member of the Moraine Recreation Center in 2004 and continues to show us that age is just a number. Through his dedication, consistency, and trademark smile, he inspires fellow members every day. What Clem loves most about the Moraine Recreation Center is the people and the friendships he has made along the way. His secret to longevity and staying healthy? “Keep moving every single day!”
Thank you, Clem, for your service, your positivity, and for being such an important part of the Moraine Recreation Center family. We are honored to celebrate you and your incredible example of active aging.
