Community Cleanups in Moraine
Calling all volunteers! “Keep Moraine Beautiful” is our theme in 2018 to keep our bike trails, hiking trails and parks clean this year.
From now through November, residents, businesses, church groups, sports teams and scout troops can participate at one or more events to beautify our recreational areas.
On April 7th a group of volunteers hiked 1.4 miles and picked up litter, downed tree branches and cut back overgrowth to beautify the Johnny Appleseed Hiking Trail for our summer hiking season. Over 80 pounds of litter was picked up out of the trail and stream with half being recycled.
Below are the upcoming Community Cleanups for you to put on your calendar and join the fun! Bottled water, gloves and trash bags will be provided.
