Storm Water Management Plan – Public Comments Requested

The City of Moraine is soliciting comments for the update of the Storm Water Management Plan. Any comments can be sent to the City Engineer by December 24, 2021 via email at aburcham@moraineoh.org.

Montgomery County’s mosquito control program has detected mosquitoes that have tested positive for West Nile Virus, in traps set at Wax Park.

City of Moraine will spray the entire City on Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday September 17, weather permitting, at dusk. The exact time of spraying is weather-dependent.

We will be spraying with Aqua Perm-X UL 30-30, a mosquito control product. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has evaluated Aqua Perm-X UL 30-30 and determined that using it according to label guidelines, in residential areas, including in and around gardens and over non-organic agricultural crop areas, does not pose a significant risk to people or animals.

Residents in the area of the spraying are also advised that:

• People and pets may be outdoors.

• The fog will dissipate within 5-30 minutes depending on weather conditions.

• The fog is not corrosive and does not stain.

There have been no reported human cases of West Nile Virus in Montgomery County in 2026. ...
