Moraine Rotary Awards College Scholarships
Caitlin Collingsworth and Savannah Harris were recently selected by the Dayton Foundation as the 2018 Moraine Rotary Club College Schoalrship recipients. Each student will receive a $500 scholarship from the Moraine Rotary Club to apply at the university that they will attend.
Cailin Collinsworth of 3566 Charlotte Mill Drive in Moraine is a recent graduate of West Carrollton High School. She has a 3.92 GPA and plans to attend the University of Cincinnati for Environmental Engineering. At WCHS she was on the varsity cross country team and team captain, a GWOC scholar athlete, track and field and soccer teams, student council senator, business professionals of America club and organized the school staff appreciation luncheon, the school blood drive and was a Camp Kern counselor for Harry Russell elementary students.
Savannah Harris of 5183 Oak Avenue in Moraine is a recent graduate of West Carrollton High School. She has a 3.50 GPA and plans to attend Sinclair Community College studying English Education. She participated in volleyball her sophomore year and was very active in the WCHS drama club where she was in the fall play her junior and senior year and in one school musical.
“Moraine Rotary has provided college scholarships to our Moraine students for over two decades. We are proud to help outstanding students like Caitlin and Savannah to further their eduction,” stated Moraine Rotary President Mike Moorhead.
