Disc Golf Course Upgrades Coming
The Moraine Rotary Disc Golf Course in memory of Shane Miller turns one year old this September. Players from all over the Miami Valley and the tri-state area have played the 18 hole course.
This October the Rotary Club and the Street Division will begin installing permanent concrete tee pads on the holes to replace the natural tees. The Street Division will also make cuts in the fence on hole #16, #17 and #18 to allow players easy access into the wooded area.
If you haven’t tried disc golf it is easy to learn. It’s just like throwing a frisbee and it is healthy too. One round of 18 holes is equal to a 1.5 mile walk plus an upper body workout from throwing the disc.
Free scorecards, course maps and pencils are available at the message board near hole #1. Come out and play America’s fastest growing non-contact sport.
