The City of Moraine is seeking a detail-oriented Recreation Operations Supervisor to support facility rentals and operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position assists with oversight of front desk staff and plays a key role in coordinating facility usage, rentals, and event support at the Moraine Recreation Center and Moraine Civic Center.

This role focuses on rental coordination, scheduling, facility readiness, and ensuring spaces are properly set up and maintained for community use.

This position requires consistent availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This position is expected to work 25–29 hours per week.

**College students and individuals pursuing careers in recreation, public administration, or related fields are encouraged to apply. This position provides hands-on experience in facility operations, event coordination, logistics management, financial management, and staff leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with supervising and supporting operations staff
  • Coordinate and manage facility rental schedules and logistics
  • Ensure rooms are set up, maintained, and reset according to rental needs
  • Work directly with renters to confirm details and expectations
  • Support opening and closing of facilities as needed
  • Cover front desk operations as needed
  • Enforce facility rules and ensure safe, organized use of spaces
  • Process rental payments, deposits, and ensure compliance with cash handling procedures
  • Assist with event setup, breakdown, and on-site coordination
  • Maintain rental records, reports, and scheduling systems
  • Address issues during rentals and escalate when needed
  • Respond to and resolve customer concerns independently while maintaining high customer service standards
  • Other duties as assigned/needed

Salary

Starting pay range is $14.27–$21.09 per hour


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience in facility operations, events, or recreation preferred
  • Demonstrated experience handling cash, processing payments, and maintaining financial accuracy\
  • Experience working with a diverse clientele base strongly preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules and moving pieces
  • Must have availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check required
  • First Aid/CPR preferred or obtained upon hire
  •  Ability to lift 25–50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout facility for extended periods
