Allison recognized as the 2018 Citizen of the Year Award
Mayor Elaine Allison was recognized as the 2018 Moraine Citizen of the Year, by the Moraine Rotary. The award was sponsored by the Moraine Rotary Club and presented by Rotary President Mike Moorhead on August 9th at the City Council Meeting. Moraine Rotary began recognizing the Citizen of the Year in 1988.
A graduate of Miami University, Mrs. Allison is a commercial lending officer for a local bank. Elaine Allison has a long history of being involved with the city and community. She is the past president of a local Rotary Club, serves on the board of directors for SISCA, volunteers with the emergency animal rescue division of RedRover and has deployed on several large scale emergency rescues. Allison volunteered on the Personnel Appeals Board and then was first elected to City Council in 2001 and re-elected in 2005 & 2009. She has been Mayor of Moraine since February 2011. Mrs. Allison has brought stability, professionalism, respect and progressive thinking to the elected positions.
