City Manager Presented Rotary Service Above Self Award
The Rotary Club presented City Manager David Hicks with a “Rotary Service Above Self Award” at a recent club meeting. Rotary President Mike Moorhead and Club Service Director Robert Beck presented Mr. Hicks with the award for his support of the club and his outstanding work for the Moraine community.
“Mr. Hicks has sponsored awards for the “Rotary Student of the Month Program” for many years and has helped and supported many Rotary projects,” stated Moorhead.
Mr. Hicks spoke at the club meeting focusing on when the General Motors (GM) Assembly Plant closed in 2009 and the efforts and transition to bring Fuyao Glass America Company to the former GM site. Mr. Hicks will retire in the spring of 2018 after 43 years of service with the City.
